OUR HISTORY
Red Rock Energy Partners, Ltd. was founded in October, 2001 by Mike Nelson and Dan Griffin. Its primary focus was the acquisition and development of oil and gas properties. It originally started with just two employees, Mike and Dan. Mike Nelson was the prospect developer and ran field operations. Dan Griffin handled legal issues, investor relations, sales and public relations. Red Rock Energy Partners has since grown to eleven full-time employees and includes a land department, a field operations department, finance and accounting, and information technologies department.
It is one of a family of companies that include Red Rock Drilling and Red Rock Ministry.
Red Rock Ministry is a non-profit charitable organization that supports missions and churches throughout the world. It was formed in April, 2004.
In December, 2005, Red Rock Drilling was created to build, operate, and sell drilling rigs for Red Rock Energy Partners and other Exploration and Production companies.
Red Rock Energy Partners focuses on exploration for natural gas in East Texas, West Louisiana, and the Anadarko Basin. The company has drilled eleven wells to date with plans to drill six more wells in 2007. Current wells averaged cash-on-cash return was 73.10% in 2005 and 86.25% in 2006. Annual revenues were approximately $13 million in 2006. Red Rock Energy Partners has significant leased assets, which include assets in a location recently identified as the ‘next big resource play’ by PLS magazine in February 2007.
Red Rock Energy Partners is privately owned.
